8 Must-Have Accessories for St. Tropez

8 Must-Have Accessories for St. Tropez

Technically a commune and not a city, St. Tropez is the artsy, bohemian sibling of the stunning French Riviera. From exploring architecture along the cobbled streets to romantic nights at the beach clubs, the Viajera Convertible Dress is a must-have in your suitcase. It’s versatility makes it casual enough for a beach day and chic enough for a night out on the town - all depending on how you accessorize it.

It’s St. Tropez–you have to have a silk scarf on hand. Whether you wear it wrapped around your neck, holding back your hair, or tied on your purse - this particular scarf will pair perfectly with the White or Olive Viajera dress perfectly. Lost Pattern’s silk scarves are 100% real silk with gorgeous patterns that go with the Riviera style.

In line with the upscale boating culture in St. Tropez, these freshwater pearl earrings scream ‘I deserve to be on a yacht. They will add an extra classy touch to the timeless, yet comfortable Viajera without being too overwhelming. They would look particularly good with the White colorway, giving that all-white chic look the French Riviera is known for.

Being ready to swim in the stunning warm waters of the Mediterranean Sea in St. Tropez is a must, and this Limon print balconette bikini is as European summer as it gets. The Viajera is begging to go from day to night, so you’ll be ready to go from dinner to midnight swimming in the ocean. Wear it under the dress for a sexy peekaboo bra look or toss it into your bag. (The Viajera is also waterproof, so if you forgot a bikini, you can still jump into a moonlit ocean and rest assured you’ll dry off on your walk home!)

You can’t complete the old money beach look without a  sun hat, and this frayed raffia one featuring a colorful ribbon tie fits the bill with a modern twist. Sun hats are hard to get right, but when you find one that works it’s such a vibe and your skin will thank you. This would pair fantastically with the silk scarf around your neck and  the White or Olive Viajera

It gets cool at night on the Riviera, and there’s no better light summer jacket than the Viajera Bolero, our Convertible Dress’s matching counterpart, which even fits in a small purse if you get too warm to need it. Tie your hair up in the silk scarf and wear the pearl earrings with the Bolero for a chic and dramatic evening look. The Bolero also works well for those visiting the Rivera as summer transitions into fall.

As for shoes, these Spanish-made, chartreuse heels are perfect for a colorful and bohemian St. Tropez. The metallic green adds a pop of color to the Black or Charcoal Viajera dress, and the block heel would work perfectly for dancing the night away at a beach club.

For daytime, these raffia sandals are comfortable enough for walking the cobblestone streets with a tiny block heel to elevate the look. The feminine strappy style is a perfect match for the Viajera and the raffia texture is well suited for the beachy boho vibe of St. Tropez.

Last but not least, the bag–what you'll be using everyday of your trip, as well as on the plane as a handy personal item. Famously, Jane Birkin was carrying her go-to basket bag when she met the creative director of Hermes on a plane. The international icon and it-girl popularized this means of carrying a basket as a bag, in addition to designing the famous Hermes bag. This is the more artsy and beachy option of the two as it’s perfect for a beach read, snack and towel.

All that's left is to enjoy your trip to the Riviera, and don’t forget to pack the Viajera! Bon voyage!
